About Me

Stacey Boe, M.A., R.C.C.

My name is Stacey Boe, and I am Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors, and hold a Master of Art's in Counselling Psychology degree through Yorkville University.

Helping individuals build resilience and overcome the battles and adversities that arise has become a true passion of mine. I have extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults struggling with mental health and substance use concerns in residential and out patient settings. I am a firm believer that each individual has the capacity to take control of their life and become their ideal self, finding happiness and contentment in doing so. My initial goal in therapy is to provide a safe and supportive environment for my clients, where a trusting relationship can form. Together, we can then explore existing obstacles, and work towards developing new perspectives and skills to overcome them.

I take an eclectic approach to counselling, utilizing various strategies and techniques, with a particular emphasis on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). By doing so, I strive to help youth develop insight and awareness into the control they have over their emotions and behaviours, thus motivating them to move away from unhelpful habits and towards change.
