About Me

Stacey Boe, M.A., R.C.C.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors, and hold a Master of Art's in Counselling Psychology degree through Yorkville University.

Helping individuals build resilience and overcome the battles and adversities that arise has become a true passion of mine. I have extensive experience counselling those facing mental health and substance use concerns in residential and out patient settings. I am a firm believer that each person has the capacity to grab on to their ideal self within, finding happiness and contentment in doing so. My initial goal in therapy is to provide a safe and supportive environment for my clients, where a trusting relationship can form. Together, we can then explore existing obstacles, and work towards developing new perspectives and skills to overcome them.

I take an eclectic approach to counselling, utilizing various strategies and techniques, with a particular emphasis on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy. By doing so, I strive to help individuals strengthen and further develop their coping resources to challenge and stand against the problem. One may then move away from the unhelpful habits embedded in the problem, and towards embracing and identifying their true and extraordinary self.
